Q. Is Profhilo a Filler?
A. Profhilo is formulated using Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a substance which is found naturally in our bodies and is responsible for giving our skin its structure by plumping and hydrating the epidermis. Profhilo is thermally cross linked, heating the molecules to bond them. Often confused as a dermal filler treatment, Profhilo differs as dermal fillers are chemically linked and not thermally. The thermal linking of the molecules enables the treatment to spread across the skin once injected, enabling otherwise untreatable areas to be improved. Improvements continue over 30 days as 4 types of collagen and elastin are stimulated within the skin, firming, tightening and plumping the treated area.
