Clearlift Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser Tattoo Removal at SkinSpirit

At SkinSpirit we use state-of-the-art laser technology to remove your unwanted tattoos. Simple, safe and effective, our Laser Tattoo Removal treatments deliver fantastic results on all skin types and come highly recommended by our clients. So, if you’re plagued by a tattoo you no longer want to see, we can help.

We have invested in the latest Alma Harmony ClearLift technology powered by the Q-switch laser to deliver effective removal of dark and multi-coloured tattoos. Unwanted dark and multi-coloured tattoos can be safely eliminated thanks to this impressive technology.

Every colour of ink requires a different wavelength of light and amount of energy to be efficiently removed. Successful multi-colour tattoo removal requires a high powered laser that can deliver enough energy within the absorption spectrum of a wide range of colours. ClearLift is a high-powered Q-switched laser that can operate 2 different wavelengths to be effective with darker colours and brighter colours like red and orange.

Benefits:

  • Able to remove dark and multicoloured tattoos
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Safe and effective

Treatment Details

At SkinSpirit, our Laser Tattoo Removal treatments use various laser wavelengths that target different ink colours to deliver clinically proven results. High-intensity light beams create a photoacoustic shockwave that breaks up the ink particles in the tattoo. The result, after a number of sessions, reveals clear, ink-free skin with minimal risk of scarring or hypopigmentation.

The treatment breaks down the ink particles without causing damage to the skin. This is achieved by a photoacoustic effect created by the impact of the laser energy delivered with very short pulses to the targeted ink. Over time, your body’s natural healing processes (the lymphatic system) removes the ink fragments from your body. This allows your tattoo to fade with only minimal risks of scarring or skin discolouration.

Treatment is safe and effective for even thin and delicate areas of the skin such as the face, neck and décolleté areas. While most laser procedures produce a thermal effect to stimulate collagen renewal, our Harmony ClearLift laser uses a specially designed fractional Q-Switched laser to achieve a deep mechanical effect, focusing the energy beneath the epidermis. This creates a controlled dermal wound while leaving the epidermis intact.

The wound healing process stimulates the growth of new collagen as well as contracture and tightening of the tissue. The treatment is a ‘lunchtime procedure’ that is virtually painless with no downtime, no need for pre-treatment anaesthetic and is safe for all skin types (I-VI).

Before and After

What our customers are saying?

The length of each treatment and the number of treatments required to achieve optimum tattoo removal depends on the size, age and location of the tattoo. Some large tattoos are so big they can’t be covered in one session, therefore requiring multiple appointments. Also, older tattoos are harder to remove as over time the pigment goes deeper within the skin.

Keep in mind intervals of 6-8 weeks between sessions are mandatory therefore an 8 session process can take a little bit over a year.

Your therapist will provide bespoke advice once they have assessed your tattoo removal requirements. Your treatment plan will be agreed and reviewed at every appointment.

Contraindications

Laser Tattoo Removal is safe and effective for most people, but the following contraindications do apply:

  • Sun exposure and artificial / fake tanning 8 week prior to treatment
  • Sun-sensitising drugs such as certain antibiotics
  • Diabetes (insulin-dependent)
  • Haemophilia
  • AIDS
  • Hepatitis B or C
  • Eczema
  • Epilepsy
  • Keloid scars

Laser Tattoo Removal is not a suitable treatment to have whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.

The high power Q-Switched Nd:YAG 1064 nm laser is ideal for treating darker ink colours (black, blue and green), while the 532 nm wavelength is effective for brighter ink colours (red, orange and yellow). The mechanical Q-Switched effect works by vibrating and breaking down the ink particles in the tattoo. As the area heals, the body’s immune system flushes away the shattered ink particles, causing the tattoo to fade with minimal risk of scarring or hypopigmentation.
